I kinda gave up on the whole of idea of building my portfolio over break and decided to just pratice and chill out. That doesn't mean I'm gonna stop posting, but it just kinda makes thing less stressful. I've also been keeping up with my daily self portraits and with probably put them up sometime this weekend. I'm also working on a munny version of myself that I'm pretty proud of.

Here's that pangolin again, but this time it's got some color. I don't know how I feel on the gold armor. Opinions?

I will consider this trade; this diagonal lines skill is very imporant to me. :)
The gold needs more depth; more wear/tear, some textures are always useful :)the beast could use some more different tones of color too (if you wanna add to it, of course :) )
dont give up on building your portfolio! no! keep on building! Job and Internship Fair is about 2 weeks into winter quarter, man, so as your colleague I recommend you to reconsider.
Practicing is more important than anything else, Dan.
If you find someone out of your practice that you might want to develop into a portfolio piece, make it one! That's the natural route, isn't it?
Just draw everyday~
...the fact that it looks very sandshrew aside.
I agree with david, more depth, chips, and were and tear on it.
also, winter break is an akward time to get portfolio work done, we have a large amout of time but a lot of it is taken up by the "holiday-eeness"
if you get one good poftfolio peice, your doing good.
Yeah I mean I was gonna go the route that tim was talking about. I just had this idea in my head that I HAD to have a porfolio done before I left to go back to school, now I'm just gonna draw every day and pratice more and more. As for the sandshrew, I totally agree 100% with what everyone is saying, I'm just waiting on my mac to get all up and running before I download photoshop to use on it : P
Does painter 9 not work on macs?
